Shopping trolly games helps Cochrane resident's imagination run wild

Doreen, an Activities Coordinator at Cochrane, has been playing the shopping trolly game with resident Liz.

The idea of this game is to encourage players to imagine they are walking around the supermarket, looking at and picking up various items on their shopping list.

Residents often find this process therapeutic and it can help them relax. It can also be very entertaining to hear and discuss the situations or items our ladies and gents are seeing in their minds' eye.

For Liz, who may not be able to get out to the shops as often as she used to, the shopping trolley game brings her joy as it lets her recount fond memories and talking about her favourite foods and treats.
