Newark Choir brings residents, relatives and staff together

You might remember our announcement that, following a suggestion made during a relatives' meeting at Newark Care Home, the home had decided to start a choir.

Well, after the first few practises things are going really well and the group is certainly growing!

Moira Roberts, Manager at Newark Care Home, said: "We had our old favourites then we had our lovely Rena doing some groovy moves to Elvis tunes!

"We have also had some fab developments in that a folk group has taken an interest and is happy to join us!"

Moira explained the choir is made possible thanks to the dedication of our staff - some of whom even come into the home during their time off to participate.

She added: "What lovely residents, relatives and staff we have in our wee home in the Port!"
