Yesterday here at Willow Bank residents and staff together paid our respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. There's wasn't a dry eye watching the funeral.
We held our own wake here, this allowed us all together, staff and residents to come to terms with the loss of our beloved Queen, pay our respects and remember her life.
We have also over the past week made a book of remembrance dedicated to our beloved Queen Elizabeth II. This is from the day we were told she had sadly passed away.
It is filled with residents feelings, staffs feelings, items our residents have made for the day, sharing what we remember of the Queen, thoughts from the day of the funeral and how we as a home came together.
This is going to be placed in our lounge areas to allow residents, visitors and staff to go back and remember the day.
