School pupils 'virtually' visit Spiers

You might remember that pupils from Kibble school used to visit Spiers Care Home.

Our residents were always delighted to welcome the youngsters and they all had fun together singing songs, telling stories and doing arts and crafts.

Unfortunately, because of Covid, the visits had to stop but thanks to the power of technology, the two groups have set up digital projects online and this week, our ladies and gents were able to virtually participate in the children's 'hen power project'.

The children enjoyed art activities related to hens and they had a real live hen in the room with them! Meanwhile, our residents could follow all the action on the iPad and share the process of making rock hens.

This was so nice to see and a great time was had by all!
