Spiers residents enjoy local history talk

Gentlemen from Beith Cultural & Heritage Society kindly visited Spiers Care Home recently.

Our residents were enthralled by the facts and stories that the historians were able to share and it was great to even learn some new information about the local town.

The Society was founded in 2006 with the aim of preserving memories and artefacts from the town of Beith and nearby villages and hamlets of Gateside, Barrmill, Greenhills, Burnhouse, Hessilhead, Longbar and the Den.

Since 2010 the society have leased the historic Beith Townhouse from the local authority.

We really enjoyed the visit and would be delighted to welcome them back to our home.
