Music therapy with Leanne at Burnside

This week Burnside welcomed Leanne who is a music therapist in the home.
Leanne wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere and so she held open music sessions which allowed residents to come and go as they pleased.
Some of the ladies and gents chose to sing along to the music while some wanted to play instruments themselves and others preferred to sit and enjoy what was going on around them.
The interaction and enjoyment among the group was fantastic to watch and it was made even more special by the fact that some relatives and friends were able to join in.
The feedback received from residents' family members was extremely positive and we look forward to more music sessions with Leanne in the future.
