Wallace View Care Home is situated in Cornton, Stirling, within a modern residential area and with views towards the Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle. The home is conveniently located close to local shops and public transport, while minibus transport is also available to help residents get out and about.

Our home provides a comfortable and welcoming environment, with facilities including spacious communal areas, gardens, a bar and café, lift access, wheelchair access and internet access for residents. Bedrooms also have their own telephone and television points.

Wallace View provides residential care, nursing care, residential dementia care and dementia nursing care, alongside permanent stays and respite care. The home can support people living with mild through to advanced or complex dementia, as well as those with Parkinson’s disease, the effects of a stroke or an acquired brain injury. Palliative and end of life care is also available.

The home can accommodate up to 60 residents across 60 single bedrooms. Bedrooms include en-suite facilities with walk-in showers, and residents are welcome to bring their own furniture where appropriate, helping them to personalise their room and create familiar surroundings.

Care

Our approach to care

Wallace View Care Home provides residential care, nursing care, residential dementia care and dementia nursing care for people aged 60 and over. The home supports people living with mild, moderate and advanced or complex dementia, as well as those with physical disabilities, visual or hearing impairments, learning disabilities or autism. Care is also available for people living with Parkinson’s disease, the effects of a stroke or an acquired brain injury. Palliative and end of life care and convalescent care are provided, alongside permanent placements and short-term respite stays.

Daily activities

Residents at Wallace View have opportunities to take part in a range of activities and events within the home. These can include organised entertainment and visits from singers and dancers, helping to provide variety and opportunities for residents to spend time together. The home also has sensory spaces for quieter moments, as well as its own minibus or other transport to support trips and activities outside the home where appropriate.

Mealtimes are an important part of daily life at Wallace View, with residents able to enjoy their meals in comfortable dining areas. Meals are prepared with variety in mind, with food and refreshments available throughout the day. Individual dietary requirements, preferences and support needs can be discussed with the care team so that suitable arrangements can be made for each resident.
