Our approach to care

Burnside Care Home offers residential care, nursing, and dementia care plus, subject to availability, respite and convalescent care. The care home has a particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs with a team of highly skilled registered nurses.

Daily activities

Our activities coordinator organises a weekly schedule of activities and entertainment to keep life fun and engaging for our residents. Residents are able to explore the local community and beyond through trips and excursions in our own minibus.

Our chef prepares a delicious menu of three meals a day plus snacks. Personal preferences and dietary requirements are fully catered for so that all residents look forward to mealtimes.

Burnside is situated perfectly in a country town overlooking hills and fields and is blessed with having a lovely well-maintained garden and a homely environment for residents.

With 57 private rooms, all with en-suite facilities, the home is designed with the needs of older people in mind, with comfortable and homely lounge areas to relax in and comfortably socialise with others as well as plenty of natural light.

The home employs an enablement coordinator who has recently incorporated morning yoga classes into the activity schedule. The early sessions have proved popular and have already had a marked improvement in the wellbeing in some of our residents.

Burnside also boasts a fantastic sense of community and has established links with local cafes, health groups and even the local nursery.
