Manorcroft Care Home is a highly comfortable residence, positioned in the leafy suburbs of Dewsbury just a few minutes walk from the town centre with all its shops, entertainment and other amenities.
Apart from its well-manicured outdoor areas, the home is also adjacent to parkland and playing fields, offering good opportunities to take in the outdoors.
The home is very much community-based with lots of input from local schools, churches and mosques. The local infant and junior school are taking part in a dementia care initiative and groups of children will come in and spend time within the home, chatting to residents, learning about their lives.
Contact the home directly by using the tab on the right-hand side of this page or please call the home manager on 01924 452653.
Manorcroft Care Home offers residential care, nursing, and dementia care plus, subject to availability, respite and convalescent care. The care home has a particular expertise in assisting residents with specific medical needs with a team of highly skilled registered nurses.
Our activities coordinator organises a weekly schedule of activities and entertainment to keep life fun and engaging for our residents. Residents are able to explore the local community and beyond through trips and excursions in our own minibus.
Our chef prepares a delicious menu of three meals a day plus snacks. Personal preferences and dietary requirements are fully catered for so that all residents look forward to mealtimes.

Before joining Silverline, Janet had been a Registered Manager for 10 years within different care settings. April 2019 will mark her 40th anniversary as a registered nurse.
Janet particularly loves working in the nursing home environment as she feels this area of nursing enables you to really get to know the residents and their families and to build strong relationships.
Janet says: “I like to think that Manorcroft is like one big family, we all care for one another and this makes for a lovely atmosphere for the residents and their loved ones.
“There are two things that I say all the time and they have become my mantras. Firstly, this is the residents' home and we are visitors within their home, so we should treat the residents, their families and their rooms with the respect they deserve. Secondly, if you don’t care, you can’t care!
“We are going through a fabulous refurbishment programme which will really showcase Manorcroft as a lovely home which is always welcoming. All rooms are individually decorated, often the décor has been chosen by the resident themselves to enable the home to be as person-centred as possible, everything that is done is done with the resident at the forefront of our minds.”
