The Beeches Care Home - Letter to families

SUBJECT The Beeches Care Home recent CQC Inspection

I am writing to let you know that The Beeches care home has unfortunately been downgraded by the CQC.

The CQC visited The Beeches on two occasions and while Inspectors noted improvement between their visits, 2 out of 5 of their key inspection criteria has been downgraded from ‘good’ to ‘inadequate’.

The Coronavirus pandemic has made the past year has been incredibly difficult for care homes across the country including The Beeches but whilst disappointed, we accept the findings of the report.

Since the inspection, Silverline Care’s Senior Managers have been working with the team at The Beeches to create a comprehensive action plan to meet the CQC’s requirements. As part of this, additional training and support have been provided to staff at the home.  We are confident significant improvements have already been made and the team will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the home’s grading improves as soon as is possible.

We want to apologise for any uncertainty this news may cause and reassure our residents and families that we continue to deliver a quality, caring service.  The Beeches is ‘Covid free’ and we will continue to adapt the way we work to respond to Coronavirus, to welcome new residents, provide safe visits and protect those who already live and work with us.

Should you have any questions on this matter, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Yours sincerely,

Joy Handley,

Home Manager
