Silverline Care Operations Update 24/03/21
After an exceptionally difficult year caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, Investec Bank, which was a lender against some of the properties, has decided to transfer the operation of some of the care homes currently managed by Silverline Care to a new operator and undertake a process of Administration in respect of those homes.
This does not impact the remainder of Silverline Care’s portfolio of managed properties and we will continue to operate Laurel Bank, Willow Bank, The Beeches, Shakespeare Court in the Yorkshire area and Springhill Care Home in Kilmarnock, all of which are completely unaffected by this change.
Each of these homes provides a vital service to their local communities and will continue to do so without disruption.
Silverline Care wishes to reassure residents, their families and staff at these five homes that we remain committed to our quality improvement plan and will continue to deliver on our promises to invest in their future.
Head of Operations at Silverline Care, May Prentice said: “While the decision made by Investec is regrettable, it provides Silverline Care with an opportunity to focus our efforts on providing quality care at our remaining care homes and adopt a more strategic growth plan.
“We have already invested substantial sums improving the environment in each of these homes and will continue to work with all Stakeholders to provide quality care for our residents, great places for residents to live and for our staff to work.”
