Momentous day sees Willow Bank attend mass

Thanks to the continuing easing of restrictions, the Activity Team at Willow Bank finally had the opportunity to take two residents, Joan and Marjorie, to Mass at St Patrick's Catholic Church - a church they both used to attend regularly but haven't been able to visit for 18 months.

The visit to the chapel was a new experience for Debbie whereas Darren, our other activities coordinator, is also a practising Catholic.

Whilst at the chapel, both ladies lit a candle and Joan was recognised by many of the parishioners.

Afterwards, the group decided to go for a bite to eat in Morrisons Cafe, where many of the staff in the cafe remembered Marjorie who used to visit the cafe daily, prior to moving to Willow Bank.

What a wonderful, momentous day for these two ladies.
