Silverline Care and the Coronavirus 17022021

Safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our residents, staff and their families continue to be our top priority.

With the national lockdown continuing we hope the family and loved ones of our residents are keeping well and are finding strength in moments of happiness during the ongoing uncertainty.

Vaccination

The success of the vaccination programme is helping to keep everyone at Silverline Care positive and we are very pleased that the majority of our residents have received their vaccination. Some of our homes have already received their second dose and the remaining homes are looking forward to receiving theirs in the coming weeks. Please note that anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 has to wait 28 days before being able to receive the vaccine.

A high percentage of our staff have also been vaccinated and we continue to test our staff on a regular basis, in line with guidance.

Dedicated Covid Teams have been set up in each of our homes to help this process run smoothly and allow our staff on the floor to concentrate on providing the highest quality care for our residents.

Visitation

Unfortunately, the ongoing lockdown means that only essential visits can currently take place at the majority of our homes.

The First Minister has promised to provide details on Scotland's road out of lockdown on February 23rd and we hope this will include fresh guidance on when and how we can start to safely reinstate visits at our Scottish homes and welcome you all back.

Hopefully, guidance for our homes in England will follow very quickly too as we understand the importance of visits and contact with loved ones and how much our residents and their families are missing this.

Please remember in the meantime, you can contact the home via our website to send your messages and arrange video calls with your loved one.

Admissions

We are welcoming new residents into our care homes, so please reach out to your local Silverline Care home via this website if you are looking for care or need any further help.

While visiting is restricted, we can offer virtual tours of our homes. Click the 'contact us' tab at the top of the website to arrange one at a time which suits you.

Thank you for your ongoing understanding and patience

As always we will continue to do all we can to keep you updated but please don’t hesitate to contact us with your queries and concerns, or your gratitude and thanks, and we will continue to do our best to respond as quickly as we can.

Our only ask is that you do this with kindness and courtesy to the teams that are doing their very best to help, and we know you will.
