Crowns and cake for the Queen's birthday at Willow Bank

Residents in Willow Bank made crowns this week to mark the Queen's 95 birthday!

Whilst the Queen sadly wasn't celebrating the same way this year, resident Pat encouraged the group to 'wear their crowns with pride'.

So, in the afternoon, everyone wore their crowns whilst eating a freshly baked Victoria sponge with fresh cream (made by Activity Team member Deborah, seen as it was such a special occasion) and enjoyed hot beverages from the home's lovely bone china crockery.

The group then did a quiz based on the Queen and the Royal family and finished by singing the national anthem

Our ladies and gents said that they had a truly wonderful afternoon and that the cake was the best they had tasted! 😊
