Ramadan at Shakespeare Court

For Ramadan, Shakespeare Court Care Home's activity team member, Fahmida, decorated the reception area.

Fahmida explained, 'it is the 9^th month of the lunar calendar, and as required to fast for 29/30 days depending on the moon, from sunrise to sunset. This includes abstaining from eating, drinking, immoral acts and anger. Other acts of worship, prayer and charity are encouraged during this month.'
