Laurel Bank's Elizabeth Unit 'revitalised' thanks to luxury renovation

Laurel Bank Care Home opens luxury, state of the art 16-bed elderly care Elizabeth Unit to serve the Wilsden community.

Laurel Bank Care Home is now ready to welcome elderly residents and their families following the completion of extensive renovation works on the home’s Elizabeth Unit.

The new unit has 16 spacious luxury bedrooms, each with ensuite and has been completely transformed with all bedrooms and communal areas redecorated. The bathrooms and kitchen areas have also been upgraded and the unit now boasts a treatment room and a relative’s bedroom.

This major refurbishment is part of Silverline Care’s commitment to becoming the leading care provider in each of the communities we serve. As part of this process, the home is being reregistered with CQC to accept residents with nursing requirements.

Ben Byrne, Home Manager at Laurel Bank, said: “We are delighted that the renovation work is now complete. The unit is completely revitalised and will be a wonderful place for our residents to live and our staff to work.”

“Our residents played a pivotal role in the redecoration process as we asked them to have their say during resident meetings as to how the unit should look.

“Together, we have chosen stunning colours and soft fabrics to really make sure Laurel Bank is a home from home for our ladies and gents.”

May Prentice, Head of Operations at Silverline Care said: “It is really important for our residents to feel comfortable in their rooms and communal areas and we hope the improvements will help give residents’ relatives and friends peace of mind that their loved ones are as relaxed as they are well cared for.”
