Katie's 100th Birthday at Newark

When Katie Hill turned 100...
Although we couldn’t party the way we wanted to, the whole team at Newark pulled together and helped create a day as special as Katie is.
From Katie's family coming to wave, to staff popping in on their day off and Phillip one of Newark's carers, playing his guitar and singing all her favourite songs.
Sophie, the daughter of team member Pamela who is only 16, made an amazing cake and our kitchen staff made a beautiful buffet. All residents in Finlaystone unit had a fantastic day.
Katie also enjoyed a drink of champagne that manager Moria bought for the special day.
As Moira summed up: "We had a fabulous party with entertainment, dancing, balloons, buffet, birthday cake, gifts, flowers, cards and champagne!"
