Helen Kinnaird – Regional Operations Manager
Helen Kinnaird is the Regional Operations Manager and is responsible for professional standards of care delivery across the Silverline Care nursing and care teams. Helen qualified as a nurse in 1994 and after working in orthopedics and medical admissions she has spent most of her career working in care for older people and those with a diagnosis of dementia. This has involved all aspects of training and developing nursing and care staff alongside managing, supporting, commissioning and developing care homes and care home practices.
“For me high quality care is about supporting residents to live as independently as they can whilst maintaining a good quality of life. One thing that I feel is really important is offering personal choice. For me, it’s about making it fulfilling to work in a care home and contributing to help develop the service we give to residents.
The most rewarding thing about what we do is seeing older people happy and content. That’s what care is all about – making residents’ lives better. I want to establish a team that is really proud of the service they deliver and consistently maintains the highest level of care – it’s about everyone going that extra mile.
I get great satisfaction from seeing care delivery go from strength to strength and I constantly look for ways to improve the service we provide. I also enjoy seeing team members develop and blossom and helping them reach their full potential – I am always keen to support them in any way I can. In short I am as passionate about my work today as I was when I first started!”
